Tana Zhang is the Managing Director based in Hong Kong, leading Cognito’s business across Greater China region. She has nearly two decades of experience in strategic communications, corporate branding, alternative investments marketing, and wealth management advisory.
Tana joins from Edelman Smithfield where she led the APAC advisory team. She has counselled leading buy- and sell-side institutions on go-to-market strategy, crisis situations, thought leadership, and stakeholder engagement. Her most recent work spans asset management, insurance, private equity, real estate, family office, fintech, and biotech, which supports clients in navigating regional issues and elevating brand reputation.
Before joining the consultancy, Tana worked with leading alternative investment firm PAG, Japanese investment bank Mizuho Securities, and Asia’s largest publicly traded life insurer AIA, supporting and advancing their strategic business goals.
A firm believer in lifelong learning, Tana constantly seeks intellectual growth and meaningful connections. Currently she serves as President of Hong Kong at stars Foundation, a Swiss non-profit with a mission to foster next-generation leadership. She founded HISTAR, a music initiative blending creativity with philanthropy, supporting sight-saving projects for the visually impaired. She actively participates in charity fundraising work through Habitat for Humanity. Tana is a Board Member of PRHK.
Tana speaks fluent English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Japanese. She studied public policy at Harvard Kennedy School, and is working on her MBA at Chicago Booth.
张塔娜（Tana Zhang）常驻香港，担任董事总经理，负责领导Cognito在大中华区的业务。她在战略传播、企业品牌建设、另类投资营销及财富管理咨询领域拥有近二十年经验。
加入Cognito之前，张塔娜曾在爱德曼旗下专注金融传播的子公司Edelman Smithfield担任亚太区团队负责人，为多家领先的买方与卖方机构提供市场进入策略、危机应对、思想领导力及利益相关方沟通等咨询服务。她近期参与的项目覆盖资产管理、保险、私募股权、房地产、家族办公室、金融科技及生物科技等行业，协助客户应对区域性战略并提升品牌声誉。
在进入咨询行业前，她曾先后任职于另类投资管理公司太盟投资集团（PAG）、日本投资银行瑞穗证券（Mizuho），以及亚洲最大上市人寿保险集团友邦保险（AIA），协助推动其战略业务目标的实现。
张塔娜坚信终身学习，持续追求成长。她目前担任瑞士非营利组织stars基金会的香港区主席，该组织致力于培养下一代领导者。她曾创办融合创意与公益的音乐项目HISTAR，以支持视障人士和救盲项目。此外，她积极参与仁人家园（Habitat for Humanity）的慈善筹款工作。她是香港公共关系专业人员协会（PRHK）的理事会成员。
张塔娜能流利使用英语、普通话、粤语及日语。她曾在哈佛大学肯尼迪政府学院学习公共政策，目前正在芝加哥大学布斯商学院攻读工商管理硕士学位。
